Hundreds of differently sized and colored butterflies, some as big as my hands and bright blue or sunny yellow, howler monkeys that definitely deserve their name as they howl as loud as thunder, huge neon green and small dark green lizzards and fat toads that just appear outside our open kitchen, as well as tiny colibris and huge whales make Costa Rica one big zoological garden! Without going on the hunt for them I just came across all of these animals in the last couple of days, some just passing through our backyard, some while sitting at the beach or going on a quad tour! It’s an amazing experience to be surrounded by such rich nature where you can always spot something new and astonishing.
Unfortunately it’s pretty hard to capture all of this wild wildlife on camera to share it with you, but I’m pretty sure that pictures of the landscape itself already give you a great impression of this green paradise!
